The eplanning online system is intended to allow interested individuals to have convenient, informal access to planning scheme documents and the status of development applications.
The eplanning system is not intended to replace the services of a planning consultant; it provides information that will be useful in compiling a Development Application but is not intended to be an exhaustive guide to all situations.
Terms of Use
The following information contained on this website is only for use to assist in tracking the progress of Development Applications, and undertake property and planning scheme inquires in the Townsville local government area. The tracking of development applications deals only with key milestones of the development process and is not a detailed history of the application. Information is also available for property inquires post approval. eplanning allows you to view and examine Townsville's planning schemes as well as undertaking property inquiries.
By accessing this information I request to do so under Chapter 9, Part 6 of the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 (public access to planning and development information). I understand that Council is making the information available under the identified relevant provisions of this Act.
The information contained in eplanning may contain incomplete information and should not be relied upon as a search. The information is not intended to be used, and must not be used, for formal purposes such as for the purposes of property transactions, decision-making process involving conveyance of land and or property settlements, or similar type decisions. Access to documents and information for formal purposes must be obtained through Council's formal document search procedures, not through eplanning.
The Townsville City Council provides this Website as a general reference source for information purposes only, and reserves the right to correct, amend and update the data from time to time in its absolute discretion. Some types of documents (for example, plans and drawings) may not be available through eplanning, even if they form part of a development application which is otherwise available.

Data must not be used for direct marketing or be used in breach of the privacy laws.
Collection Notice
Except for information specifically provided by users, Council does not collect any other personal information during the use of eplanning online system. Any personal information specifically provided will not be disclosed to third parties except with consent, or where required by law.
All information provided is subject to copyright laws of Australia; Townsville City Council grants the viewer a licence solely for the purpose of viewing the content in your web browser (and in any cache files produced by the browser). Townsville City Council reserves all other rights.
Documents and information are made available through eplanning for informal use by individuals. Users are not entitled to, and must not, reproduce, publish, communicate or adapt the documents or information made available using the system.
Access to the eplanning online system is at the discretion of Council. Council reserves the right to refuse to allow access to any part of the eplanning online system without prior notice, and without the need to give any reason for doing so.
